“The Digital World has disappeared.” Me every time the WiFi goes out.

SynCloud • 1 year ago

Ok

Kranesh • 1 year ago

I have to say that this probably have to be one of the best episodes of the entire show, and it was also a nice love letter to Lovecraft's works in general, the atmosphere was insane and the battle against Dagomon was good... even tho it was on the short side sadly.

So now I understand why some people said that this episode was going to be extremely important, not only because Hokuto is officially back but the entire Digiworld is no more? Yeah... all of that was hella important, but it makes me worried as well.

Why this worries me? Well, because of this episode we can guess that Ghost Game will likely have 70 episodes total, does that means we're gonna see a rush of the entire plot in just 5 episodes? I'm not sure if I'm going to be a fan of that if that happens... we'll have to wait and see.

In any case, next episode seems that some dark stuff will start to happen... will this finally be the moment for Gulus to shine once more? I can say that I'm very excited for what's going to happen soon, so hope it's good!

Petar Dimić • 1 year ago

Ending of this episode has serious significance. Hokuto is back, digital world disappeared and the internet is down.
Plot is begins to unravel now in 64th episode and Ghost Game is going to have, for now, 68 episodes.
They wasted a numerous episodes only to rush everything in four episodes.
Gulus is gonna probably show up in next episode. 65th episode, at least from preview, has darker tone than usual.

KAISER • 1 year ago

is not surprising, they did the same with hunters, universe, tri and adventure 2020

Petar Dimić • 1 year ago

Hunters started basically out of nowhere and their episodic treatment was fairly okay, but they decided to turn the tables after 76th episode, because they need to finish with Xros wars universe. So, everything was rushed a bit in the end (Akari and Zenjirou got their Xros loaders practically in the end, Airu and Ren seemed like interesting characters, but they were so plain).
Tri was mess from the beginning. Absence of 02 characters and how main cast just forgot about them is crime. Nothing was solved in the end - who was that Mysterious man, what he will do if he could use Apocalymon's fragment on Demon or Diablomon. Kizuna made it worse, because they completely forgot about everything in Tri.
Adventure 2020 had some serious issues with the plot with numerous filler episodes who practically served for nothing.
Universe or Appmon had plot from episode one and plot unraveled slowly but steadily. Appmon had problems with filler episodes and they had it many, but they never had any problems with the plot.

Kranesh • 1 year ago

68 episodes total? Alright, now my worries are confirmed, this is why I hated all this "Monster of the Week" format... I have no idea how people keep defending it when it hurt the actual plot progression, now everything is going to get rushed to hell, I would love to see people trying to defend that honestly.

Archie Andrew's 1000 • 1 year ago

Yeah I'm just really smh at that. This could have been more spread out but no they have to just rush and the last eps (maybe?)

Petar Dimić • 1 year ago

It's interesting, though, that it's still not confirmed that Ghost Game is going to have 68 episodes.
Yes, after March 26th, another anime will take timeslot of Ghost Game. Maybe, Ghost Game is going on break like Xros wars or maybe Ghost Game is going to have another timeslot.

It's just impossible to end everything properly in four episodes. I enjoyed episodic treatment, I really do, but they dragged plot for so long.
The only consistency of plot was Gulus, but he appearaed so rarely (six times in total, if you count his shadow in episode 1 and 9).

If they rush everything in four episodes and they declare that Ghost Game is ending with 68th episode that would be huge disappointment for fans.

Proum Kroum • 1 year ago

Color me surprised. They spent 63 episodes screwing around and then when the show is finally ending they are rushing everything in merely 4 episodes.

Expect not to see any of previously unresolved threads being solved: Phelesmon, Vamdemon, Weedmon, LILITHMON, the reason for Perfect's time limit, why did Espimon seek Hiro in the first place?...etc I have no idea how Lilithmon can even fit anywhere here. These final 4 episodes will be the most rushed mess in the history of Digimon which is extremely disappointing because Ghost Game was incredibly fun and had great potential, they wasted it all.

What I'm expecting is that Hiro will sync with Gulus in the next episode to evolve to Regulus after something dramatic happens to him, he goes on a rampage and spreads the infection to the others in the real world then they try to stop him, they almost succeed but then he fuses with the RGB realm thing that's corrupting the digital world to reach Arcturusmon, he kicks their asses then the gang uses Espimon to connect with Gammamon using the digivice and take him out of his body which causes Arcturusmon's body to destabilize but in a last second, he takes MoonMillieniummon from Hiro's pocket and fuses with it to fill in the missing data (like what happened in Tri) finally getting a separate body from Gammamon's and sending a message that in the end, his kindness killed them all. In the final episode, the whole gang evolves and fights him with the help of the other Digimon and if we're lucky we get the fanservice of seeing all the other humans introduced so far being partnered up with them (like Emma, Yuto...etc) to defeat him. In the end, Gulus and Gammamon understand each other and form Proximamon to restore everything back to normal. The show ends with partners not being separated and the digimon living in harmony with the human. The end.

Oh yeah and the black digimons we saw every once in a while will help too I guess.

Petar Dimić • 1 year ago

I think that they even forgot that Phelesmon, Vamdemon, Zassoumon appeared. I don't think they will come back. Lilithmon won't come back and Lucemon stays forever in the opening. Hearing how Espimon was mad with Hokuto (spitting image), that means they forgot why Espimon even came to human world. Time limit will be mystery forever.

Your expectations are fairly what we want to see, but somehow, I doubt it that we will get that.
It's speculated that Gulus is Gammamon's true adult form that has power of three other adults forms (Betel, Kaus and Wezen).

It would be nice to see Aoi, Mika, Kotarou, Fukatsu, Emma, Meru-san, Kayono, Yuina, Yuuto, at least, as supporting characters in final episodes, but I doubt it.

Dick Nock • 1 year ago

I think Lilithmon will show up and asks him to join her in his Regulus form but then he murders her instantly. That's the only possible outcome I can see for her as there are only 3 episodes left.

Oh and there is a very high possibility of Gammamon dying! I can 100% see that.

Petar Dimić • 1 year ago

We can only make assumptions now.
If digital world is destroyed, Lilithmon and many other digimon should be in human world.
Yes, synopsis for 65th episode said that main trio will go to the digital world.
We must wait and see what will be.

Meroko Yui • 1 year ago

Yep think the father achieved what he wanted. On the contrary he shows up as the Digital World vanishes and everything goes to hell. He also seems to connect to a lot of the bad events.

The only thing that may seem odd is his face seemed concerned when noting the internet shut down or disappeared. Also someone warned digimon to flee to the real world last episode. It was foreshadowing events.

Annecy Change • 1 year ago

Oh Eff this really gonna change everthing.
Now almost all Digimon gonna be living on earth.
They finally made earth into Pokemon world. lol
This might be realated to Digimon Seeker I been hearing about.
Eff earth if effen doom. lololol

Xeon • 1 year ago

It could be something temporary... this isn't the first time that a version of the Digital World has been damaged or deleted causing Digimon to try to go to other realms, but that kind of setting... one where humans and Digimon may have to learn to coexist is one I find really interesting, and with how the IP has been handled for things like the new "Digimon Seekers" that could be the outcome of this show.

Ian Nava H • 1 year ago

i would love a show where the human world is basically now a pokemon world where humans and digimon have to learn to coexist

Kranesh • 1 year ago

There's one problem with that statement however... if a Digimon dies in the real world, they will be gone forever, they need the Digiworld to reborn and with that gone... yeah, we're in permadeath mode now.

Xeon • 1 year ago

Actually, that depends, that's not how it happens in all the settings or universes in the Digimon Multiverse. Remember that in this show we have already seen Digimon turn into Digitama once they have died in the Human World.

Ian Nava H • 1 year ago

Digimon from Digimon Tamers: Welcome to the club!

Annecy Change • 1 year ago

I think when they do die in the real world. Thier data turn into egg be uploaded to the Internet or our network.

ady ivanceanu • 1 year ago

Proximamon will revive the Digital World in the last episode. That's all but obvious seeing as he controls destruction and creation.

I don't believe it The Digital World is disappear?! 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

Vincent • 1 year ago

*mentioned in the early episode as an important source of all ghostly incidents in the Real World
*the Digi-destineds don't bother to visit/investigate it further for 60+ episodes
Digital World: Aight, Imma head out

Fayt Leingod • 1 year ago

these is the first time it happened...

That explained that the Digimon refuge on the real world because the mysterious voice knew what happened

oh • 1 year ago

I doubt the mystery voice could be Hokuto's, he seems to know everything about the Digital World's disappearance so he sends all the Digimon to the Human world for refuge 🤔

Yellow eye and fog. Persona 4 huh

Zosha • 1 year ago

Best episode in months. Love me some actual horror.
It's just a shame that we really are getting into the endgame when almost nothing happened the entire series.
Can't go to the Digital World if it just doesn't exist, huh?

Petar Dimić • 1 year ago

That bugs me.
How they will go to the digital world if it doesn't exist anymore?

Zosha • 1 year ago

They'll probably won't go lol

Petar Dimić • 1 year ago

In synopsis for 65th, it said that Hiro, Ruli and Kiyoshiro will go in the digital world.

Zosha • 1 year ago

I don't read synopsis' so I didn't know that. Thanks :)
It really is interesting how they'll reach a place that apparently doesn't exist anymore.

Petar Dimić • 1 year ago

That will be interesting.

Ian Nava H • 1 year ago

Toei is doing it again
Not only here but with DonBrothers too

Xeon • 1 year ago

Wow the mystery deepens! What happened to the Digital World? And who was the being that warned all the Digimon of the disappearance of their world? Now that Hokuto was finally able to return to the Human World, could we finally understand what's been going on since the start of the show? What Dagomon tried to say... intrigues me.

By the way, do you guys think "Terriermon Assistant" could actually be Hokuto's partner or just one of the various Digimon that have helped him on his journey?

Xeon • 1 year ago

Oh... no, this is bad... I didn't realize when it was mentioned that something was off with Dagomon's color and power, could it be symptoms caused by the secretion known as "GRB Factor"? That would make a lot of sense and explain why the Digital World was deleted... as a countermeasure towards a total infection caused by the "GRB Factor" of all digital beings in the Digital World... and that's really bad.

Fayt Leingod • 1 year ago

so its like the x-antibody?

ady ivanceanu • 1 year ago

No. GRB causes personality alteration, frenzy and corrodes anything it touches. The only ones that are immune to its effects are the Digimon that are affected by Black Digitron.

Neil Dunsmore • 1 year ago

As good as this episode is, as nice as it is to see Hiro's father in the real world, the ending basically implies that we're entering the final and maybe only real story arc. Granted, this show has managed to go for longer than most Digimon shows, but still.

Singaporean51 • 1 year ago

If Proximamon ever make it anime debut. I do wishes, it will be some thing like Susanoomon evolution sequence. Then, it will be perfect since it is a Ultra that fused from both into one.

Fayt Leingod • 1 year ago

i think his the enemy..

Bluegeezez2234 • 1 year ago

proximamon is the fusion of siriusmon and regulusmon, so i think regulusmon agreed to help with siriusmon and fused into proximamon to defeat the final villain

Souleaf • 1 year ago

I'm unsure if I want to blame the hiatus where they were hacked and the rumors that stuff was erased and that they had to reanimate stuff, or the writers for doing this to us. So dirty to spend so many episodes horsing around only to give us 4 episodes of sped up plot before they end the show, like oof talk about taking a huge shit on your own work. What is the point of making it 68 episodes if you're not going to give it a decent ending, rushing things isn't a decent thing to do with a series. Not that this is the first time they have done this. Just sucks.

Petar Dimić • 1 year ago

We could blame that forced hiatus because some changes were definitely made but that can't be excuse to make so many filler episodes without actual plot.
It's just insane and dirty to rush plot in four episodes because they decided to end Ghost Game almost unexpectedly.

Souleaf • 1 year ago

Yeah 😔

Ninlil • 10 months ago

I was hoping for a digital world exploration arc, look like it's not happening...
